A two day weekend workshop based at the Olde Mill in the beautiful Furness estuary location of Bardsea.
This workshop involves pencil sketchbook work in Bardsea woods where you will be encouraged to look at the smaller details such as the bark of a tree or the play of light on grass as well as using weight of line to accurately portray a sense of depth in a landscape drawing.
Watercolour techniques will also be shown such as how to effectively achieve a sense of depth and light, wet on wet and wet on dry techniques but the student will always be encouraged to develop their own style.
Heléne will give demonstrations and constant supervision to the group of no larger than 12 artists, 10 – 6pm and 10 – 4pm. Some walking will be required on undulating ground in the woods but mostly any walking will be a short distance from the car park. (Helene will take care to ensure safety but will not be liable for any accidents on uneven ground).
You will be encouraged to work at your own pace and relax and enjoy the workshop and its participants. All abilities can be catered for.
In the event of wet weather we will have the facility of an indoor workshop at the Olde Mill.
Included; Drawing boards, stools, some easels (please enquire)
Not included; transport to location, materials, refreshments. Lunch can be purchased from the Olde Mill (orders can be taken in advance if required)
